DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Cost Management

  • Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and cost plans.
  • Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed quotations.
  • Assist in project planning by providing accurate cost forecasts and financial projections.
  • Monitor project costs and recommend corrective measures where necessary.

Site Management & Project Control

  • Attend site surveys and inspections to gather information for cost estimation.
  • Monitor project progress against approved budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
  • Identify project risks that may impact costs or schedules and recommend appropriate solutions.

Contract Administration

  • Administer contracts with nominated subcontractors.
  • Prepare subcontract agreements and maintain contract documentation.
  • Assess work completed and process subcontractor payment certificates.
  • Monitor contract compliance and manage contract variations where applicable.

Client Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit site progress reports to clients.
  • Maintain accurate project records, cost reports, and documentation.
  • Prepare valuation reports and final project accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors throughout project execution.

Procurement Support

  • Prepare and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing pricing and technical specifications.
  • Recommend cost-effective materials and procurement options while maintaining project quality standards.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in project planning, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and other standard computer applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and cost management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Negotiation and contract management abilities.
