DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision & Team Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of security riders.
  • Allocate routes, patrol assignments, and response duties.
  • Monitor rider performance and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with riders.
  • Mentor and coach riders to improve service delivery and professionalism.
  • Enforce discipline and ensure compliance with company policies.

 Operations & Emergency Response

  • Ensure swift and effective response to alarms, incidents, and emergency calls.
  • Coordinate emergency deployments and provide on-ground leadership during incidents.
  • Liaise with the Control Room and senior management during emergencies.
  • Monitor response times and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure patrol coverage across assigned zones.

Compliance & Road Safety

  • Ensure all riders comply with traffic laws and road safety regulations.
  • Verify that all riders have valid licenses and proper documentation.
  • Conduct routine checks on motorcycles to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Promote safe riding practices at all times.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and incident reports.
  • Document emergencies, accidents, disciplinary issues, and operational challenges.
  • Maintain proper records of patrol activities and response times.
  • Provide performance feedback reports to management.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as a point of contact between riders and management.
  • Handle client concerns related to patrol and response services.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and local authorities.
  • Represent the company professionally during field operations.

Logistics & Resource Management

  • Oversee fuel usage and motorcycle maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor equipment allocation and ensure proper handling of company property.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate repairs.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Valid Riding Licence (Class F/G).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Rider Supervisor within the security industry.
  • Good understanding of Nairobi’s road network and traffic regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond swiftly and calmly in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
