RIDERS-SECURITY FIRM (6 POSITIONS)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Secure Transportation & Logistics Support

• Transport security personnel, supervisors, and authorized staff to designated locations safely and promptly.
• Deliver confidential documents, parcels, security equipment, and other sensitive materials while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Ensure all transported items are properly documented, signed off, and handed over to the correct recipient.

Rapid Response & Emergency Support

• Act as part of the rapid response team by responding quickly to alarms, distress calls, and incident reports.
• Provide first-level situational assessment upon arrival and relay accurate information to the control room.
• Support ground teams during emergency operations, crowd control, or incident containment when required.

Patrol & Surveillance Support

• Conduct routine and random patrols in assigned areas to deter criminal activity.
• Remain alert and observant, identifying suspicious behavior, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Immediately report incidents, unusual occurrences, or threats to supervisors.

Compliance & Road Safety

• Operate motorcycles in full compliance with traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Wear required protective gear at all times while on duty.
• Practice defensive riding techniques to minimize risks.

Motorcycle Care & Maintenance

• Perform daily pre-ride inspections including brakes, lights, tires, fuel levels, and general condition.
• Report mechanical faults immediately and coordinate timely servicing.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of assigned motorcycle.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate daily movement logs indicating time, location, and purpose of assignments.
• Prepare clear and factual incident reports as required.
• Keep supervisors informed of assignment progress and challenges encountered.

 Professional Conduct & Client Relations

• Maintain high standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
• Interact respectfully with clients, colleagues, and members of the public.
• Safeguard company reputation through responsible behaviour and confidentiality.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with control room operators, security guards, and supervisors to ensure coordinated operations.
• Participate in security briefings and training sessions as required.
• Support other operational duties assigned by management within scope of role.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Valid Riding License (Class F or G) – Mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years proven riding experience.
• Prior experience in the security industry is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of Nairobi roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
• KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Defensive riding certification is an added advantage.
