DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery & Route Management
- Make timely and accurate deliveries to customers while ensuring products are handled safely and securely.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Maintain proper delivery records and promptly communicate any delays, failed deliveries, or route-related challenges.
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Engage customers professionally during deliveries, understand their needs, and identify opportunities to promote relevant products.
- Support sales activities by sharing product information, promotions, and offers with customers where appropriate.
- Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat business through excellent service and professional conduct.
Cash & Order Management
- Collect payments from customers where required and accurately account for all cash or other approved payment methods.
- Confirm orders, delivery details, quantities, and customer information before completing deliveries.
- Report payment discrepancies, damaged products, incorrect orders, or other issues to the relevant supervisor promptly.
Motorcycle & Operational Compliance
- Maintain the motorcycle in good working condition and report servicing, repairs, or mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure all required riding and motorcycle documentation remains valid and comply with road safety regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and responsible use of company property at all times.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Must possess a valid motorcycle riding licence.
- At least 1 year of experience in delivery, sales, retail, or a related customer-facing roleis preferred.
- Previous experience combining delivery and customer engagement is an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and basic selling skills.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi routes and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash and maintain basic delivery records.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery and sales expectations.
