DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Alarm Response
- Respond promptly to alarm activations dispatched by the control room and proceed to the client’s premises within the expected response time.
- Assess the situation on arrival and verify whether the alarm activation is genuine, accidental, or a system fault.
- Take immediate action to secure the premises and escalate incidents to supervisors or authorities where necessary.
Site Inspection and Security Checks
- Conduct thorough inspections of doors, windows, gates, and perimeter areas to detect signs of intrusion or tampering.
- Identify potential security threats and ensure the property is safe before leaving the site.
- Provide support and reassurance to clients or occupants when necessary.
Communication and Coordination
- Maintain constant communication with the control room during alarm response operations.
- Provide timely updates on arrival, findings, and actions taken.
- Coordinate with fellow response teams, supervisors, and emergency services when required.
Incident Reporting
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports after every alarm response.
- Record observations, actions taken, and outcomes of each response.
- Submit reports in accordance with company reporting procedures.
Patrol and Security Monitoring
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned locations to deter criminal activity.
- Monitor surrounding areas for suspicious behavior or security risks.
- Report unusual activities or security concerns to supervisors immediately.
Motorcycle and Equipment Management
- Safely operate and maintain the assigned company motorcycle at all times.
- Conduct basic daily checks to ensure the motorcycle is in good working condition.
- Safeguard all company-issued equipment including communication devices.
Client Service and Professional Conduct
- Interact with clients and members of the public professionally and respectfully.
- Represent the company positively through discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client information and security operations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Valid motorcycle riding license (Class A) and proven riding experience.
- Prior experience in security services, alarm response, or emergency response is an added advantage.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working long shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Good communication and reporting skills in English and/or Kiswahili.
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Clean disciplinary and criminal record.
- Knowledge of Nairobi roads and locations is an added advantage.
