DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Alarm Response

  • Respond promptly to alarm activations dispatched by the control room and proceed to the client’s premises within the expected response time.
  • Assess the situation on arrival and verify whether the alarm activation is genuine, accidental, or a system fault.
  • Take immediate action to secure the premises and escalate incidents to supervisors or authorities where necessary.

Site Inspection and Security Checks

  • Conduct thorough inspections of doors, windows, gates, and perimeter areas to detect signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Identify potential security threats and ensure the property is safe before leaving the site.
  • Provide support and reassurance to clients or occupants when necessary.

 Communication and Coordination

  • Maintain constant communication with the control room during alarm response operations.
  • Provide timely updates on arrival, findings, and actions taken.
  • Coordinate with fellow response teams, supervisors, and emergency services when required.

 Incident Reporting

  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports after every alarm response.
  • Record observations, actions taken, and outcomes of each response.
  • Submit reports in accordance with company reporting procedures.

Patrol and Security Monitoring

  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned locations to deter criminal activity.
  • Monitor surrounding areas for suspicious behavior or security risks.
  • Report unusual activities or security concerns to supervisors immediately.

Motorcycle and Equipment Management

  • Safely operate and maintain the assigned company motorcycle at all times.
  • Conduct basic daily checks to ensure the motorcycle is in good working condition.
  • Safeguard all company-issued equipment including communication devices.

Client Service and Professional Conduct

  • Interact with clients and members of the public professionally and respectfully.
  • Represent the company positively through discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client information and security operations.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Valid motorcycle riding license (Class A) and proven riding experience.
  • Prior experience in security services, alarm response, or emergency response is an added advantage.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of working long shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Good communication and reporting skills in English and/or Kiswahili.
  • Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Clean disciplinary and criminal record.
  • Knowledge of Nairobi roads and locations is an added advantage.
