STOCK ANALYST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Analysis & Monitoring

• Analyse stock levels, movements, balances and trends to identify shortages, excess stock, slow-moving items and other inventory issues.
• Monitor inventory performance and identify unusual stock movements, variances and potential risks.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve stock availability, accuracy and overall inventory efficiency.

Inventory Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely stock and inventory reports covering stock balances, movements, variances and other key inventory information.
• Analyse inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies and areas requiring management attention.
• Maintain consistent reporting formats and ensure all reports are supported by accurate and reliable data.

 ERP Systems & Data Management

• Use ERP systems to generate, review and analyse stock and inventory reports.
• Reconcile ERP records against physical stock records and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies.
• Ensure inventory data within the ERP system is accurate, complete and regularly updated.

Stock Reconciliation & Variance Analysis

• Support regular stock reconciliations by comparing system records with physical counts and other inventory records.
• Investigate stock variances and work with relevant teams to establish causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of identified discrepancies, adjustments and resolutions.

 Inventory Controls & Improvement

• Monitor inventory processes and controls to identify gaps, inefficiencies and potential sources of stock loss.
• Support the implementation of measures to improve stock accuracy, availability and inventory control.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance and other relevant teams to resolve inventory-related issues.

 Data & Management Support

• Provide accurate inventory data and analysis to support purchasing, stock planning and operational decision-making.
• Track key inventory indicators and highlight significant changes, risks and opportunities to management.
• Support ad-hoc stock analysis and reporting requirements as assigned.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management or a related field.
• Over 1 year of experiencein stock analysis, inventory management, stock control or a related role.
• Practical experience using ERP systems to generate, analyse and report on inventory data.
• Strong inventory analysis and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent reporting and data interpretation abilities.
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory management and reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
