DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Household Management

  • Oversee the daily running and organization of the household.
  • Ensure all rooms and living areas are maintained to high cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor and replenish household supplies as required.
  • Maintain proper care and organization of household items and equipment.

Cleaning and Housekeeping

  • Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing.
  • Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas thoroughly.
  • Wash, iron, fold, and organize laundry.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain hygiene standards throughout the home.

Cooking and Meal Preparation

  • Prepare healthy, nutritious, and well-presented meals for the household.
  • Plan and organize meals based on family preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
  • Properly store food and manage kitchen inventory.

Operation of Household Equipment

  • Safely operate and maintain household appliances and cleaning equipment.
  • Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of household machines and tools.

Child Support and Family Assistance

  • Interact positively and respectfully with children.
  • Assist with supervision and basic care of children when required.
  • Maintain a safe, friendly, and supportive home environment.

General Support Duties

  • Run household errands as assigned.
  • Assist with receiving visitors and service providers courteously.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Carry out any other reasonable household duties as assigned.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Form Four certificate or higher qualification.
  • Formal training in Housekeeping, House Management, Hospitality, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in house management or domestic service.
  • Good cooking and meal preparation skills.
  • Strong housekeeping and cleaning skills.
  • Ability to operate household appliances and cleaning machines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Child-friendly and comfortable working in a family environment.
  • Presentable and well-groomed.
