DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain menu items, promotions, and make recommendations when requested.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently for the next guests.
- Process customer bills and handle cash, card, and mobile payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and work equipment.
- Observe and maintain high standards of food safety, personal hygiene, and sanitation.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up dining areas and stock replenishment.
- Report customer complaints, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a reputable hotel, restaurant, café, or hospitality establishment.
- Training in food safety and hygiene will be an added advantage.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
