DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently from trucks, delivery vehicles and other transport facilities, ensuring products are handled carefully to minimize damage and losses.
- Move, arrange and store stock in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper organization and efficient use of available warehouse space.
- Pick products accurately according to customer, distributor or dispatch orders and ensure the correct products and quantities are selected.
- Pack and prepare orders for customers and distributors, ensuring goods are properly packaged, labelled and ready for timely dispatch or delivery.
- Count and verify stock regularly, reporting shortages, excesses, damaged goods, expired products or stock discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Assist with physical stocktaking, inventory checks and reconciliation exercises, ensuring stock movements and damaged goods are properly identified and reported.
- Keep the warehouse, loading areas and workspaces clean, organized and free from unnecessary hazards at all times.
- Assist with deliveries by supporting drivers and delivery teams with loading, offloading, arranging and securing goods during transportation.
- Sort, label, repack and arrange products as required while following proper product-handling, storage and stock rotation procedures.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and perform other warehouse or operational duties assigned by the Supervisor or Warehouse/Operations Manager.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and warehouse duties.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking and counting stock.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, disciplined and hardworking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and stock handling.
- Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
